ZEMPO, Keiichi (善甫 啓一)
received a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Tsukuba in 2013, after completing a B.Sc. in physics and an M.B.A. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, he joined the Institute of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, in 2014 and became an Associate Professor in 2023. He also serves as Head Investigator under the JSPS Transformative Research Areas (B) (since 2024), a PRESTO Researcher with JST (since 2022), and CEO of Xtrans tech, Inc. (since 2018). His research interests include smart sensing, human–machine interfaces (human augmentation, 3D audio, XR), service measurement, and telepresence, under the overarching theme of “eXtending Umwelt and Self: Harmonizing Chimera in Virtual Service Realms Beyond Physics”
